This place is a hotel in the jungle in the Yucatan, close to the Mayan ruins of Uxmal. I have stayed there several times and experience a very peaceful feeling of clarity while there. It is mysterious and enchanting. I go there in my dreams. It reminds me of the house used by the witches in Castaneda's circle, a magical place where doors can lead to alternate universes. I was wrestling with a decision I needed to make, which was necessary in order to let my spirit thrive and yet I felt it could be life-threatening. The figures indicate the time spent in contemplation and prayer before summoning the courage to make the leap of faith. |
