Step One- Drawing Idea and Getting the idea on the canvas
Step Two- White Tempera Underpainting
Step Three - Yellow Glaze
Step Four - White tempera on the Yellow Glaze
Step Five - Local Color Glazes
Step Six and Seven - Refinements
Step 4 - White tempera is painted into the tacky yellow glaze to further define the forms and to bring up the highest lights again.
At this point I am thinking ahead to the colors that I will want and how to proceed with the glazing, I have to wait several days for the work I have done to become completely dry.
